| Our group of 7 stayed 9 days here and had an incredible time!:) Right from the start the owner was kind, accommodating, reasonable, generous and flexible. Even as we requested changes to things, there was always a solution.
The property is amazing, right on the water, and it had everything we needed to enjoy bonfires, canoe trips, comfortably hosting a group indoors, and plenty of beds. It has a very cozy feel to everything:)
If it works out to visit Port Elgin in the future, I will definitely hope to get our group to stay here again:) Thank you for everything!!:)

| 5 years and counting. We love this little piece of heaven that is large enough to house our kids and everyone has a private place to themselves ?. The addition of a dock this year was awesome. We kayaked the river everyday and also took our kayaks down the Saugeen for a change of scenery. Again love the proximity to town for our ice and food runs. Booked again for next year

| This was 4th year renting this cottage and we are growing more and more in love with it ? with the 3 cottages we are able to spend time with our kids (2 families) and they are in love with it too. Saugeen river at our finger tips. Pop the kayaks in and go for a paddle everyday!!!! Grocery store beer store and ice are a 5 min car ride ?. Best of both worlds. Seclusion and convenience all wrapped up in one at this cottage ? we even take an adventure and load up the kayaks and go up steam to for a change of scenery. Booked already for next year

| We are a group of 11 people, 8 adults and 3 kids. We had a very nice stay. The cottages are comfy and clean. The river view outside cottages is beautiful. There are a lot of activities you can do in the big yard along the river shore. The owner is very nice and answers our questions promptly. Thank you Rick! Highly recommended!

| We had a nice time at the cottage. Rick and his son are both very nice people. The place was clean and they had just added a second fridge which is great. We did have a small issue and they were quick to fix it. I would have to say the grounds need to be cleaned up a bit. Lots of old furniture in the weeds that just needs to be removed. The canoe and kayaks were in amongst the weeds also. We loved South Hampton and the surrounding area and took a day trip into Tobermory. Make sure you book ahead if you want to see Flower Pot Island it is worth it!

Owner response: Hi Pauline, We would like to thank you for your comments! Our goal is to offer the best vacation experience for our guests. We also believe the only way for us to improve is to listen to our guests and implement their constructive suggestions ASAP. Thus, we would like to mention that we were not fully satisfied with the new fridges and returned them to Leon's. They were very helpful and have modeled a perfect customer service to us by helping us to secure two new, more expensive, larger fridges, which were delivered the week after you left. So far all our guests have appreciated them! We will continue to keep up with the maintenance as needed and be available to fix anything which needs fixing in a timely manner to satisfy our guests. The grounds: we manicured the extensive grounds after you left! We love nature as it is but you are right: trimming the plants around the property did improve the looks right the way! The ?weeds? from the watercraft area were also trimmed all around and in between kayaks. The old wooden furniture located in different spots over the gardens (due to COVID situation we were not able to store them properly over the winter this year) have seen better days, we agree, and we will have to discard them once we get new ones ASAP. We are shopping for new one now. I hope to see you again next year to check if your suggestions were implemented right! Thanks again, Rick and Alexander | |
