| An amazing quiet little place that had everything we needed for 4 adults and 2 young children. It included a kitchen that had every appliance one could want, a large collection of dishes and several items available that could be needed by children of varying ages (toys, books, board games, a bed barrier for toddlers, a small step stool in the bathroom) Every room included an electric fan and well maintained screened windows for the hotter days. The place had a cozy feel and gave the illusion of looking rustic while at the same time having every utility that you'd expect from a modern house.
The lake itself is shallow (around adult knee height) for good distance out, which made it ideal while supervising young kids while still being just deep enough to be able to use the provided paddle boat. Our kids had a really fun time chasing minnows and frogs and using the swing set behind the cottage and were actually disappointed when we had to go home at the end of the trip.
There was a county burn ban in effect while we were there so we couldn't use the fire pit, but it appeared to be nicely laid out with a solid brick barrier next to the lake with a great view and comfortable chairs that were great if you just wanted to relax during the day as well.
When we encountered one minor issue, the owner practically dropped everything to deal with it immediately and did everything she could to accommodate us. She was very approachable as well and wonderful to deal with.

| A gorgeous place for a beautiful getaway only 1 hour from the City of Ottawa, thus cottage had everything we needed and more! It would be perfect for a young family, and was simply wonderful for just my husband and I. The water is shallow to start and gets deep enough to swim if you walk out. Neighbors are quiet, respectful, lake is quiet at of 7pm every night, even in weekends. SO MUCH WILDLIFE including hummingbirds, geese, all kinds of ducks, fish, frogs, mourning doves, loons, butterflies, so much to see. Carleton place and Perth are both an 18 minute drive away and will have any item you're missing / tons of restaurants. We will 100% be coming back!!

| We have stayed at this cottage twice now and I can honestly say it just keeps getting better! The cottage feels like home the moment you step through the doors. The grounds are well maintained and you have so much privacy. The water is crystal clear and perfect for a swim, or to relax and float. The most amazing part of this cottage though is the gorgeous sunsets!! I was so sad to leave at the end of our stay, but will for sure be back!! Thanks you again Shannon for sharing this place with us!!

| The cottage has everything you need to have a great time with family and friends. The space is well laid out and the backyard is very long up to the lake. The owner was also very fast at replying which was a bonus!

| We stayed at this cottage at the very end of August 2021. It is clean & combines a rustic atmosphere with modern amenities like wifi (very reliable service), flat top stove & oven, large fridge, microwave, large gas BBQ, renovated bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped with many pots & pans, baking sheets & pans, an abundance of plates, bowls, glasses, mugs & cutlery. We found it very convenient to use the free side of the huge floor-to-ceiling pantry to store our food supplies. It felt homey from the first day, almost like spending time at a relative's cottage rather than at a rental. On dry sunny days we could sit in the screened-in gazebo for relaxing, bug-free meals. The large table in the gazebo is also nice for playing board games outdoors without having to shoo away flies, mosquitoes and wasps from drinks & snacks. The heavy screen even helps to cut the wind & the chill. The swing, slide & climbing set is wonderful for young, active kids and a lifesaver for parents. With the 3 watercrafts available (canoe, kayak & pedal boat) our family enjoyed going out on the lake at the same time. Paddles for the canoe & kayak as well as life vests were also available. The fire pit being located right in front of the lake, we could watch beautiful sunsets while sitting at the camp fire. Roasting marshmallows at the camp fire for smores was a sweet ending to a fun day every night. We have no hesitation recommending the place for a comfortable & memorable holiday.
