NOTES (outside of high season) REVIEWS | Celine | |
Mission accomplie!

| This little slice of heaven on Lac Desormeau was just what I had set out to find when I wanted to show my UK family what an ideal Canadian cottage experience would be like. It has everything you need; from campfires to canoes, beautiful setting and sunsets, through to a fresh clean lake and comfy beds. The docs are all in mint condition and the Adirondack chairs are in the ultimate sundowners spot. The cottage was spotless and the utilities were top notch. Bathrooms were brand new and shower always had loads of hot water for when you eventually needed to wash the lake water away. Finishing the day with a BBQ on the balcony watching the sun go down quickly became an evening ritual that our family looked forward to each night.
The best kept secret to this cottage is the fact that you get two lakes for the price of one! There is a culvert that you can easily canoe through to access Lac Heney as well. Endless waterside views to explore.
A few points to keep in mind when you book your stay here - the cottage is a little further set back from the water than we were expecting. And the walk down is a little steep in places - but the path is well worn and there are stairs halfway down. It wasn't a downer at all - we just needed to factor in the cottage supply runs. And once you get down to the docs, the set up is totally worth the journey.
I would not hesitate to recommend this cottage to anyone who is looking for a great combo of clean and rustic. The best of both worlds.
