We're looking to rent our family cottage to families who will take excellent care of it and respect our neighbours. We have neighbours who live at their properties year-round and who want to continue enjoying the peacefulness of Muskoka. We're not looking for partiers.
The Property:
- 1.5 acres and 200 feet of waterfront on beautiful Lake Joseph
- Located about 1km South of Gordon Bay Marine
- Pristine views of the lake
- Shallow entry into the lake with compact sand
- Approximately 900 sq ft dock. You can jump off the end into the water
- Single slip boathouse where you can dock a boat
- There is a creek and natural springs running through the property
The cottage:
- 4,000 sq ft of living space
- 6 bedrooms
- 3.5 baths (including one bathtub)
- Multiple rooms for entertaining
- Spacious kitchen with 2 fridges, 2 sinks and views of the lake
- Kitchen table seats 10
- Central air conditioning
- Floor-to-ceiling windows on 3 sides of the living room
- Wood-burning and propane fireplaces
- Lower level family room with lakeside walkout
- Games room with ping pong and foosball tables
- Satellite TVs
- Wifi
Outdoor Amenities:
- Large dock and single slip boathouse
- 2 kayaks

- Series of waterside decks to relax and enjoy the view

- Firepit (need to check fire rating before using)
Location:
Located just off Lake Joseph Rd, south of Gordon Bay Marine. A two-hour drive from Toronto. Lake Joseph is part of the region's most coveted chain of lakes, with nearly 200 miles of boating, minutes from Rockey Crest Golf Course.
There is a train located nearby which runs frequently and is audible from the property.
Restrictions:
- No smoking inside any structure
- No pets
- No parties
- No fireworks
- No loud music
- No special events or large gatherings
- The maximum number of guests at any time is 12
Housekeeping:
- Towels and linens are provided (for up to 12 ppl)
- The cottage will be professionally cleaned prior to your stay
- You're expected to leave the cottage tidy and to put everything back how you found it
- Please do not strip the beds, the cleaners will take care of that
- You're expected to take your garbage/recycling to the dump (closeby and open 24/7)
Miscellaneous items:
- Kitchen will be stocked with pots, pans, cooking utensils, plates, bowls, cutlery, glasses, dish towels, etc.
- We won't have everything that you have in your own kitchen, please inquire about specific items
- We don't provide firewood, toiletries, food, condiments, spices, Tupperware, plastic wrap, tin foil, ziplock bags, parchment paper or coffee filters
- To get you started we provide (but you'll most likely need to pick up more to cover your entire stay) toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher pods, laundry detergent, garbage bags, recycling bags and hand soap
Required Items for Booking:
- ID
- Signed rental agreement
- List of all guests and ages
- 50% of total booking costs (remaining 50% due 30 days before your stay)
- $2,500 security deposit
