It was a perfect meeting place for our 5 family get together. (5 couples, 4 children over 4, 2 under 2)
The cottage layout allowed for a 'quiet' side for young children's afternoon naps and early bedtimes and a noisy family area on the other side.
Long dining room table was a great gathering space especially with the end doors open and the breeze flowing through.
The decks and deck chairs were also well used for large and small groups.
The beach was all it claimed to be and you could spend your entire time there.
Advice to potential guests: Don't forget to meal plan for the firepit. Bring large beach bags to carry toys, towels, snacks etc to the beach. Bring hand soap and laundry soap if you want to run a wash. Bring your own spices for cooking inc. salt & pepper.

| A great cottage in a superb location. Just five minutes' walk to the brilliant beach. There were ten of us staying and there was plenty of room for everyone ? we could easily have accomodated fourteen. Provision of beach chairs etc was an extra bonus, as was a second set of washing machines. We all had a fantastic time.

| Perfect setup for our 3 families, 6 adults and 8 children ages 8 to 15. Large and (very) well-vetilated central dining room, large well appointed kitchen, comfortable beds. Short walk to the beautiful beach, location excellent. Ed was very responsive, overall a great experience - wish we could have stayed a second week!

| Saltscapes Retreat Beach House was an amazing vacation rental and was a huge part of our perfect PEI vacation! This home was beautiful, clean and perfectly appointed. Plenty of room for our large group that included children of multiple ages. We had everything we needed to kick back, relax and even make some epic East coast meals. Thunder Cove beach is only a few minutes walk down the road and proximity to major landmarks was perfect. Ed was super responsive and made the whole experience effortless. We'll be booking here again the next time we are in PEI!
