EKKS COTTAGE VACATION RENTAL IN BEAUTIFUL HALIBURTON HIGHLANDS EAST!!!! Come & escape everyday stress & enjoy nature at relaxing & private EKKS Cottage in Haliburton Highlands East!! EKKS Cottage is situated on beautiful Glamor Lake Road on a private, wooded 2 acre lot & is a 2 minute drive or 15 minute walk to Glamor & Little Glamor Lakes. There you will find a quaint sandy beach & picnic area as well as a boat launch. Portable washrooms are available there. You can have the best of both worlds....such a close drive to the lake but not right on the lake for peace & quiet & peace of mind for small children not having access to the water. Cottage comes fully equipped with all the kitchen essentials (fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker, toaster & all pots/ pans, dishes, cutlery etc).
Cottage contains a 3 piece bathroom with a shower.
Main bedroom consists of a queen size bed with a walkout balcony to enjoy the view with morning coffee or tea. The 2nd bedroom consists of 2 single beds. The living rooms consists of a queen pull out sofa.
There is a selection of movies to enjoy on the 32 inch flat screen TV/DVD player in the living room as well as a selection of books & board games. Internet access is available if you have data. Cell phone reception is excellent!!
There is a small 2nd TV/DVD player & X-box 360 in the 2nd bedroom for less desirable weather or quiet days.
Cottage is heated by a cozy propane fireplace.
There is a large back deck that houses a large 8x12 screen room to enjoy extended bug free space, There is a propane BBQ (propane included in rental fee) for use on the back deck.
There is a large stone fire pit surrounded by muskoka chairs to enjoy. Firewood is also included in the rental fee & is stacked & ready for use.
Depending on the season....there is use of 2 kayaks with paddles, a canoe with paddles & 2 stand up paddle boards with paddles, ALTHOUGH YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN LIFE JACKETS. In the winter months, there is use of snow shoes (2 adult pairs & 2 children pairs), as well as tobaggans.
There is a convenient store that has all the amenities, a gas station & LCBO all located in Gooderham approximately 10 minutes away by car. Haliburton is a 25 minute drive & Kinmount is a 30 minute drive.
Plenty of activities to do in Haliburton Highlands for every season. Some of these activities include the Haliburton Forest & Wildlife Reserve (which houses the Wolf Center & organizes dog sledding), the Sculpture Forest, the famous Highlands Cinema in Kinmount, Sir Sam's ski & biking trails, Hawke Lake Log Chute, Furnace Falls, fishing, hiking, sleigh & wagon rides, snowmobiling, tobaganning, snowshoeing, ATVing & much more!!
Clean mattress covers will be provided but you must bring your own pillows/bed linens, dish clothes/towels, bath/beach towels & paper goods (toilet paper/paper towels/Kleenex).
Come & enjoy a relaxing getaway in Haliburton Highlands East & be as busy as you want or simply just enjoy the peaceful quiet cottage!!

| We had a wonderful time at EKKS Cottage, especially with so many of Kim's personal touches throughout that made us feel all the more welcome. Spent a lot of time reading on the comfortable patio out back and in the Muskoka chairs around the fire pit, very peaceful with a lovely panorama of forest to look at. And great trails to explore with a terrific place to swim and runabout with the dog at the end of the road. Highly recommend EKKS Cottage!

| G&T from the UK, Kimberly was fantastic in helping us with our vacation arrangements at the cottage, as we had travelled from the UK, we didn't have any bedding to supply ourselves at the cottage. Kimberly was extremely helpful in supplying bedding and other items that was impossible for us to bring. We had a lovely stay at the cottage. We used all the facilities, the canoe, the kayaks, great location, great lakes, great fire pit out the back we had great time. Maybe if we are lucky, we would like to come back in the winter and experience snow up at the cabin.

| We enjoyed our week at the Ekks Cottage. It is a lovely setting amongst all the trees. The cottage is very clean and inviting. There were plenty of outdoor games to play with. We also spent a few evenings sitting by the fire pit telling stories & roasting marshmallows. The 2 lakes were about a 4 minute drive. We went swimming & kayaking. The grandsons had fun jumping off the dock. Overall we had a wonderful time & would recommend it highly.

| If you are anything like me you are looking at reviews right now trying to determine if you should stay here. The answer my friend is a resounding yes!
As soon as you pull up to this adorable cabin and step out into the great wide quiet your troubles will start to melt away. After one (too short) week this has become my happy place.
The cabin itself is adorable but also very clean and well kept. You can tell it has been loved to be kept so immaculate. The backyard is a dream. It's very quiet and private with all sorts of fun little critters hanging about.
On top of the space itself there are many niceties provided like board games and DVDs for when it's too rainy to go outside.
There is much more I could say but I recommend that you book this cottage and find out for yourself why it was the right choice! You'll be happy you did :)

| We are a group of six nurse friends who badly needed some rest and relaxation and we found it at EKKS cottage. Everything was exactly as described by the hosts. We were delighted with how clean and organized the cottage and the grounds were. It was an absolute delight. The hosts had thought of everything. We especially enjoyed our evening campfires in the beautiful setting of our little clearing in the woods. We stargazed while receiving our nightly visitors - several Barred Owls. The owl babies scream rather than hoot, but once we knew the screams were the baby owls we began to look forward to their arrival at dark. In the mornings we gathered in the screened porch area and ate breakfast together with the beauty of the woods surrounding us. We spent several days at gorgeous Glamor Lake with our paddle boards and kayaks. We paddled around Big Island and into a inlet to check out some real estate for a sister. It was very peaceful. The public beach area is beautiful for swimming and paddling. It is also very clean. There is a public boat launch and dock although we did not require it. We absolutely loved our stay and we will be return customers!
One recommendation from the nurses who slept on the pull out sofa: bring a topper for the mattress if you're going to use it. Otherwise, the rest of us were very comfortable in proper beds and we made the youngest of us sleep on the sofa.
