Our renovations are complete and we are ready for you to enjoy stunning Papineau Lake.

Our 1800 square foot bungalow offers 3 large bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a living room and a family room, a spacious sunroom and much more.

With 100' feet of frontage and shallow, clean, rippled sand you are sure to enjoy your beach. We have lots of water toys including 2 stand up paddle boards, 2 junior kayaks and a canoe.

With depths of over 200' the fishing here is fantastic. Lake Trout and Pike!

With a propane furnace, stone fireplace with an airtight wood insert and central air, you are sure to be comfortable anytime.

Our wifi is fibre optic so you can have as many devices going as you like and the speed will not be an issue.

Papineau Lake is sought after as it is close to Bancroft, Barry's Bay, Algonquin Park and Maynooth. There is always lots to do and enjoy. If you need anything our general store will have it and it's only a 5 minute drive from the cottage.

Sun all day on this beach! You won't be disappointed.

Best holiday we have had. The cottage is beautiful. Owners have thought of everything. All three bedrooms are large. Beds are vary comfortable and after a busy day in the water you need them. A metal canopy at the beach was great for a break from the sun. Dock with Adirondack chairs are amazing. Kitchen has everything you need to cook all meals. Fridge has ice dispenser which is a life safer in summer. Couple of quick questions for owner were quickly answered by text. Great place for big and little people. Will definitely be back for another vacation.

My family of 4 had a lovely stay. The cottage is clean, cozy, and very spacious and would be perfect for 2 families. Plenty of space for both congregating as a group, and also enough space so that the kids or separate families could have their own hangout areas. Beautiful setting with a forest across the street from the cottage and a beautiful hydrangea garden in the front yard that can both be seen from the kitchen window, making meal prep and clean up a much more pleasant task. Having amenities such as the dishwasher and washer/dryer enhanced our stay and the provided linens meant we could pack on the lighter side which was also appreciated.
Lake Papineau is beautiful. Very calm and clean and entry is very shallow. The views from the cottage are stunning. My older teens loved canoeing to the island. Great location for star gazing, we were able to see the milky way which is always a treat. Plenty of nature to admire. We regularly saw rabbits, hummingbirds, and loons.
Mike was a great host.

We had a very nice stay at Mike's cottage. The lake and beachfront is beautiful and the water is shallow for quite a ways so it is perfect for kids. There's lots to do and we made great use of the kayak and paddle boards. The foosball and other activities made available were very much appreciated. The only thing we would change is the mattresses on the bunks were a bit old and we could feel the springs. We would rate it 4.5 if we could!

Thank you for your review. We are happy that you enjoyed the cottage and the lake. We appreciate your feedback about the bunk beds. Yes, 2 of the mattresses are not as new as the others. We will replace those right away.

An excellent stay in a comfortable and clean cottage. Our two children loved the sandy shallow entry and the beach as well as the bunk beds. Mike was very attentive to getting the fridge looked at and fixed (it was leaking water) and called a repair tech right away to arrive in a day or two. The screened in room was excellent as well to "get outside" when it rained. We'd definitely recommend a stay here!

This Beautiful cottage exceeded our expectations! Sooo spacious and comfortable with lots to do inside and out. Location is also great, beach was perfect for our younger kids. Thank you for sharing and hoping to return one day!
