Are you looking for a cottage that you can sit by the fire in front of Lake while listening to the waves? Then we have the cottage for you. When you arrive, the private laneway that leads to the cottage, on a dead end lane you will feel as if you are in a secluded forest. The lane is great for walks in the summer, or a great place for the kids to ride their bikes. The cottage is the first one on the lane way with enough parking for 3 cars and all the bikes. The front lawn is the perfect spot for lawn bowling, soccer or volleyball.

Our cottage is great for up to 6 adults and 2 children's. For a total of 8 people. Or max of 6 adults renting the cottage. Our water sceptic system does not handle more than this.

The entrance to the cottage is at the waterfront which has 2 oversized decks overlooking the lake. The third deck holds the 5 person hot tub secluded in the corner of the side deck that has a wonderful view of the lake. The first deck has built in deck seating and a large table and chairs. Step up to the second deck with another large table and chairs. This deck leads you to the entrance of the cottage.

When you walk into the cottage the kitchen sits to your left side. It has lots of countertop space , includes a full fridge and separate stand up freezer for all the extra food. The kitchen is also fully equipped with microwave, coffee maker, toaster, stove kettle. Pots and pans, plates and eating utensils are also included. The eating area is to the right side with full glass windows overlooking the deck and lake.

We booked a last minute getaway for the weekend and had a great time. Hottub was perfect at night. Best part was having a bonfire overlooking the lake. Cottage has everything you need and town is a short drive to pick some food we forgot. Thanks for having us and we will be back.

Stayed one week at the beginning of August. Overall we enjoyed our stay here. Very quiet and relaxing. The water was shallow, warm and clean. We were very glad we brought our water shoes though as it's quite rocky. We made good use of the paddle board and kayaks. Also really enjoyed the hot tub and just sitting on the deck - the view of the lake is fantastic! Now the not-so-great things: there were swarms of mayflies. They were everywhere and impossible to keep out of the cottage. They would cling to the ceiling and windows and then fall down and die. We were constantly cleaning them up. You couldn't have the windows open because they were small enough to get through the screens. There was air conditioning but it was a unit in the living room which meant if you kept the bedroom doors closed while you were sleeping, they got quite warm in the night. Most of the beds weren't very comfortable and in one of the bedroom closets there is the water pump which is really loud, so not great if you're a light sleeper. The bikes were in such bad shape, they were pretty much un-rideable but there wasn't really anywhere to ride them anyway, as the road at the top of the laneway is a fast road with no paved shoulder. There was a fooseball table outside but it was also in really bad shape. You have to bring your own drinking water which I only found out about because I asked ahead of time. Otherwise, good communication with the owner who was super quick to respond to our questions.

Owner response:
Thank you for staying at our cottage. Glad to hear you lenjoyed your stay. We will look into the tandem bikes as they are 2 years old and have not been an issue. Pur main water pump is located in the bedroom storage closet that does come on when water is needed in the system. This room also has its own window ac unit and each bedroom has a ceiling fan for those hot summer days when doors are kept closed. Lake Erie fish flies can find the tiniest holes to enter. Part of our cottage booklet and our communication over the stay had different solutions to reduce them entering the cottage. They love the light so are attracted to it when the cottage is lit up. Our water is important weekly to the cistern tank that comes from Dunnville drinking water station. We will try to ad your concerns to our information package so our guest have a better understanding of the cottage. Thank you for staying at our cottage

Great cottage in great location. Everything worked great and lots of activities for kids both inside and outside of cottage. Owners had just put in a new foose-ball table which was a surprise when we arrived and a hit with our kids and got a lot of use. Cottage is on smaller size but having 3 bedrooms was a large plus with both our kids being able to have their own room and space. We went in mid-June so some of the time lake was colder as expected but on those days we enjoyed the hot-tub. We were actually surprised at how nice lake was the first few days of our rental prior to weather getting colder as we could comfortably swim and noticed alot of other people enjoying the water as well. Do ensure that you bring watershoes as bottom of Lake is more solid rock then sandy. Very quiet and secluded the week that we went and again great location and would recommend. We hope to come back in 2022!

Owner response:
Glad everyone enjoyed the cottage and the outdoor foosball table. Looking forward to having you back next year.

Great cottage and great host! We will very likely return again. Clean, lots to do, close to Toronto and wine country. See other reviews for notes. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely, relaxing week! We spent a lot of time in and on the lake - we got a lot of use out of the kayaks. (I'd recommend water shoes in the lake.) The hot tub was nice. The beds were comfy. The kitchen is well-supplied with dishes. It was quiet and calm.

A couple things I wish we'd known about ahead of time: you have to bring your own drinking water. And they prefer you to bring 1-ply toilet paper.

4-star review instead of 5 because the internet is horrible (no chance of Netflix!) and the water pump is really loud.
