| We just returned home from a week at Slice of Life. The cottage is beautiful and was immaculate upon arrival. I am very fussy about cottages, hotels and I was thoroughly impressed and immediately felt at home. My husband and our three year stayed and everyone enjoyed the cottage, property and beach front. We went kayaking and walked around spotting crabs and picking up shells. The cottage is located in a remote spot but also in the top middle of the island so exploring pei was a breeze. Because of the rain this year, the mosquitoes were a pain but the cottage had a screened in porch which we used in the evenings...reading, playing games and just watching the fishing boats (and a bald eagle or two!!) The road into the cottage is even adorable as it was lined with rabbits every morning and evening. If you're going to PEI this is the cottage for you. Diane was lovely and always available for questions (although you won't have any!!). Thanks Diane and Michel for renting to us!!

| Highly recommend! THIS is your happy place! A simply stunning property, beyond expectation. It is apparent how well loved and cared for it is. I visited with my 3 adult children and two partners. The cottage (really an oceanfront home) is stylish, well-appointed and comfortable. The view of the bay was incredible with light streaming in from across the stretch of windows and opportunity for the ocean breeze. We spent much of our evenings on the screened-in porch, days on the beachfront or touring PEI. All the little touches were evident from the quality of the sheets/linens, towels to kitchenware and its amenities. An entire pantry for your grocery goods, tons of cupboards with a vast array of cookware, dishware....everything has been considered to the smallest detail (even the bottle of wine and glasses to welcome us!). And in my books first and foremost, Diane is the most attentive, personable host I've engaged with (I've rented Airb'nbs and cottages extensively both internationally and in Canada). No comparison. She is responsive, genuine. A true gem. She checked in to see if we needed anything or had questions. We all agreed we must return. There is nothing you'll want for at Slice of Life - it's all here at this cottage and with the hosts. Thank you Diane and Michel!

| My wife and I were looking for a quiet place to unwind and to enjoy the natural beauty the Island has to offer for a few days. When looking at the specs for this cottage and location, it almost seemed too good to be true. However, the whole experience from booking to the stay met all of our expectations plus some. Although we were very remote (which is what we wanted), Kensington is only 10 minutes away and Cavendish only 30. It is hard to even call the location a "cottage" as it is stunning inside and out with more than enough amenities to stay extremely comfortable. Wi-fi is spotty so don't plan to binge watch any of your favorite streaming shows; better to enjoy a good book, or there is Satellite with all the TV options you would need. The beach area is rough, but if you are looking for some sand, you will find a beach 5 minutes away at the Cabot Park Provincial Park. The outside area is not pristine, but yet kept natural with no maintenance or worry required. Diane was wonderful to deal with, very attentive and accommodating. Our adult children came over for a visit mid stay, and it was truly a dream location for us to enjoy and get away from what has been a challenging year and a half. We look forward to our next stay here and will absolutely be booking again. HIGHLY recommend!

| We rented the Slice of Life for a family vac'n with our adult children summer 2019. We all loved our stay! The beach house has the perfect layout & is very well appointed. The great room & kitchen are spacious, very impressive with comfortable furniture, lovely decorating touches & many large windows providing a fantastic view of the water & sunsets. The kitchen has all the utensils etc. that could be required along with plenty of nice dishes, & plenty of space to work together. Each person commented how comfortable the beds & linens were. I loved waking up in the sun-filled master bedroom. The location is perfect for kiteboarding. The kiters in our group launched from the cottage-front; great for the non-kiters to be able to assist & watch. The ocean water at the cottage is shallow & generally calm so we also enjoyed kayaking & stand-up paddleboarding. The location is ideal for kiteboarding but you should know that the beach itself is red sand, a bit rocky & had lots of seaweed while we were there. Not a problem for us but just so you aren't expecting the Cavendish sand! The hosts were great to deal with on every front. They were very accommodating, helpful & accessible. We were the first renters, and the hosts let us know that the beach house was not 100% complete. Despite that there were a few kinks to work out during our stay, we were glad to be able to rent the beach house for the week. We would rent the Slice of Life beach house again without hesitation!
