This beach house is located right on the French River. It's the perfect destination for any guest wanting a peaceful island experience. You can watch the lobster boats com and go, as well as the bald eagles the herons.
This 3 bedroom beach house which sleeps five people and has a freshly renovated kitchen is located in one of the loveliest pockets of Prince Edward Island. We are at the end of a lovely, quiet, winding lane, great for walks and to admire the nearby colourful fishing wharves, rolling tidy farmland, glistening blue water and abundant birds and wildflowers. From the expanse of windows on the main floor, as well as our broad deck and huge lawn, enjoy the view of the French River (a finger of New London Bay). Take our staircase down to the shore for a short walk to one of the best beaches in the area or drive to several other great beaches within minutes. There are 2 lighthouses within comfortable walking distance of the beach house.
As well as a new shaker style kitchen and the wonderful view, the main floor includes a living room, laundry and a spacious three piece washroom. Upstairs there are three comfortable bedrooms and a small two piece washroom. One of the bedrooms has a large desk, great if work or a writing project calls.
There's a lot more to do nearby. We are close to 8 golf courses as well as Cavendish, the Anne of Green Gables attractions, all within a 20 minute drive. Take in a Ceilidh, slurp back some oysters, enjoy a perfect lobster roll or head out for some deep sea fishing. The New York Times has written that our corner of the island deserves the legend ?All's Right with the World? and we think you'll agree.
We are 20 minutes from Kensington where you will find all the conveniences you'll need ? grocery, pharmacy, restaurants, liquor store, bakery, gas, hardware, even a haunted house attraction -- and lots of friendly islanders. Summerside is just over 30 minutes drive and Charlottetown is under an hour's drive away and the bridge to New Brunswick is about 40 minutes away.
If you're travelling with family or planning a family reunion, this beach house is ideal. We also have a large, picturesque country home very nearby that sleeps 12 as well as several other small cottages in the area.
Spring and Fall bookings under 5 days will have a $150 cleaning fee added to the rental cost.
