Walker Lake and near by activities
This area is a hidden gem, situated on a spring-fed, tranquil Lake, known as one of the cleanest lake in Huntsville, for experiencing the best of swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, canoeing and fishing. With the 12 Km / hr restriction on the lake, it is a quiet lake for enjoying natures delight.

And yet, you are only a 10-minute drive from Huntsville's quaint shops, nice restaurants, and services, and a 5-minute drive to Deerhurst Resort and many renowned golf courses, fine dining, and world-class entertainment.

There are so many activities to enjoy here; lovely meals together in the sunroom, dining room, or on the dock; sun or forest bathing; enjoying a fire by the water; and swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding or canoeing right off the dock. On occasion, you may see a loon, kayak, canoe, or perhaps a small quiet boat slowly going by. Boasting SW exposure with an extensive shoreline and trees, makes for sun and fun till your hearts content.

In Winter months it is a wonderland, among Ontario's best skating, downhill skiing, cross country skiing, snow snowmobiling, snow shoeing and the like. Most of these activities are out your back door on the frozen lake or 5 minutes away, including down hill skiing at Hidden Valley. People love how they get continuous ski runs in as there are not the lines ups like at other hills, especially great for families. There is also the well known Arrow Head Park 1.3-kilometre man-made skating trail that winds through the forest.

Also for nature lovers, 5 minutes away is Limberlost Forest and Wildlife Reserve, a haven of twenty private lakes and more than 10,000 unspoiled acres of mixed forest. Enjoy hiking, cross country skiing, snow shoeing and the like. Also, Algonquin park is just 20 minutes away.
