If you need a place out of town to rest, enjoy the great outdoors and nature with ease, then this rustic-style cottage with over an acre of land on the shores of Lake Moffat is what you need. You can swim, fish, canoe, explore the surroundings on foot or on bicycle, and finally relax at night beside the campfire listening to the sounds of frogs and crickets. It is also an excellent place to stay during your spring hunting (wild turkey, bear) or fall hunting (deer, bear, small game) season. During the summer you can fish for bullhead, bass and pike. | Our week at The Moffat was everything we expected it be. Rustic and quiet was just what we wanted.
The cottage was very clean and exactly as advertised. The communication with the owners was easy, prompt and pleasant.
The best part was the wildlife, lots of birds, great herons flitting across the lake, deer and huge turtles.
It's a lovely spot. I'd like to see it in the fall with all the colours. Thanks for a great week!
