HONEY BEAR COTTAGE
Welcome to serenity and peace. Honey Bear Cottage is a small paradise, offering a year-round getaway for couples or families looking for a relaxing getaway in a private wooded landscape with 400 feet of shoreline on quiet Lac du Chevreuils.
The traditional cottage features an open concept kitchen and dining area with a rustic harvest table to enjoy family meals, a living room with an enchanting wood stove, and a large bright covered porch with a view of the garden and lake. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooking and dining wares, key appliances, and basic spices and condiments.
The cottage holds 3 spacious bedrooms, with a king bed in the large master bedroom loft, a queen bed in the second bedroom, and a trundle bed and 3 bunk beds in the third bedroom. All bedding, sheets, towels and soaps are provided for your stay.
Enjoy a nice family meal or lounge on our spacious covered porch while feeling the breeze, listening to the birds, and taking in views of the garden and lake. Outdoors you will find a BBQ, and several seating areas for you to enjoy your surroundings. Spend the days reading and relaxing in a hammock, and cozy up by the bonfire on cool summer evenings.
In summer months enjoy sunrises from our large lakefront dock, fishing in the afternoons, or nighttime stargazing. The lake water is beautiful and clear, ideal for swimming and watersports. We have 2 kayaks, a canoe, a pedalboat and lifejackets available for our guests to use. We also have a floating water mat, offering hours of family fun!
Throughout the year you can enjoy walks on our property or on the long cottage road. During fall months become entranced by the spectacular autumn colours that surround you. In winter, snowshoe right outside our front door across the property or on the frozen lake, and then cozy up by the wood stove with a hot chocolate or glass of wine.

COTTAGE RULES
Honey Bear Cottage is a quiet and relaxing family retreat. It is NOT intended for guests that want to party or make noise. We have year-round neighbours with families on the lake, and we ask our guests to keep to property boundaries and keep noise to a respectable level at all times. Guests will be fined if noise levels aren?t kept to a minimum and/or if we receive a noise complaint from our neighbours.
Pets are welcome, but please let us know that they will be joining you in your stay. We also ask that you keep them off of ALL furniture, keep them to property boundaries in respect of our neighbours, and pick up after them outdoors.
LOCATION
Located only 35 minutes from downtown Ottawa, Honey Bear Cottage is ideally suited to guests that love the wilderness and being in nature. During winter months we advise having an all-wheel drive vehicle to access the cottage, as some of the roads are windy and steep. That said, snowy roads are plowed, so access to the cottage is possible throughout the year.
Honey Bear Cottage is a short drive to the village of Perkins where you will find a grocery store (Marché Richelieu), pharmacy, gas station, public library and a few restaurants.

For hiking you will find nearby nature trails in AllTrails Val des Monts as well as in the 'parc des Chutes de Denholm'. Less then 5 minutes down the road you will find the Nakkertok Ski Club, which has over 75km of groomed cross-country ski trails and snowshoe trails. For exciting outdoor adventures of an aerial game park, ziplining, underground caves, and snowshoe trails, you will also find Arbraska Lafleche less than 10 minutes down the road!
