Featuring 3 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms, the cottage and waterfront have been thoughtfully decorated to create a relaxing, elevated cottage experience. We kindly ask that bookings remain to a maximum of 6 guests at this time; however, please feel free to reach out if your group size differs slightly, as we may still be able to accommodate.
Located on the peaceful upper end of Drag River, this non-motorized waterfront offers a quiet and serene setting perfect for kayaking, canoeing, paddle boating, swimming, fishing, and truly disconnecting from the everyday.

Enjoy cooking and gathering in the spacious vaulted kitchen, fully stocked with everything you need for your stay. Start your morning with a coffee from the Nespresso Vertuo or Keurig Café machines, or brew a full pot with our traditional drip coffee maker. Toaster, microwave, cookware, bakeware, dishes, utensils, drinkware, kitchen linens, dish soap, dishwasher tabs, and cooking essentials are all provided for your convenience.
Step outside to the upper deck and enjoy BBQing your favourite meals while taking in the peaceful waterfront views through the trees.

Kick your feet up and relax in the warm and inviting main living area featuring oversized leather seating, stunning vaulted pine ceilings, and large windows overlooking the treetops and river below. Cozy up by the wood-burning fireplace, stream your favourite shows on the 65" Smart TV with access to Netflix, Disney+, Prime and more, or unplug with our collection of classic DVDs and board games for the ultimate cottage-night experience.
The lower walk-out level also features a separate rec room - the perfect hangout space for kids, teens, or cozy movie nights. Guests are welcome to bring along gaming systems to plug in and enjoy, or simply sink into the oversized sectional couch and choose from our huge collection of DVDs for a relaxing night in after a day on the water.
B E D & B A T H ::
Three cozy and inviting bedrooms await your arrival, each featuring queen-sized beds complete with linens, pillows, and comforters for a comfortable night's sleep. Two bedrooms are located on the main upper level, while the third bedroom is tucked away on the lower walk-out level, offering additional privacy.
The cottage includes one full bathroom with a stand-up shower, plus an additional powder room off the laundry area. Bath towels, hand towels, toilet paper, hand soap, shampoo, and body wash are all provided for your convenience.
O U T D O O R ::
The outdoor spaces at McHarradise are designed for slow mornings, sunny afternoons, and unforgettable evenings by the water. Explore nearby trails and forests, relax among the trees, or spend your days enjoying the river with our two kayaks, canoe, and paddle boat available for guest use. (A selection of life jackets is available on-site, though guests are encouraged to bring their own for best fit.)
Down approximately 25 steps to the waterfront, you will find a beautiful dock with Muskoka chairs, a swim ladder, and stunning river views. Newly added is a large waterfront deck that creates an additional outdoor living space right at the water's edge - perfect for morning coffee, afternoon lounging and sun breaks, sunset cocktails, or gathering with family and friends by the river.
The campfire area is ready for cozy nights under the stars. Firewood is available just 1.2 km away on Porky's Rd. (Please observe any local fire bans during your stay.)
You will also find lawn games including Cornhole and Ladder Golf in the shed for some friendly competition and outdoor fun.

McHarradise is equally magical in the winter months, with endless opportunities to embrace cottage-country winters. Enjoy nearby snowmobile trails, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, dog sledding, and skiing or snowboarding at Sir Sam's Ski / Ride just 30 minutes away.

The cottage is located on a private road. During winter months, the road and driveway are plowed regularly; however, guests may need to shovel a path to the entrance and clear the deck for use after heavier snowfall.
McHarradise has also recently been upgraded with high-speed Starlink internet — providing fast, reliable connectivity for seamless streaming, video calls, and the flexibility to comfortably work remotely from the cottage without the typical cottage-country internet frustrations.
For the safety and security of both guests and property, there is a Ring doorbell camera located at the front entrance overlooking the driveway.

The cottage operates on a septic system, and we kindly ask guests to flush only the provided toilet paper and avoid disposing of sanitary products, food or grease down the sinks/toilets to help protect the system during your stay.
