Enjoy cooking and gathering in the spacious vaulted kitchen, fully stocked with everything you need for your stay. Start your morning with a coffee from the Nespresso Vertuo or Keurig Café machines, or brew a full pot with our traditional drip coffee maker. Toaster, microwave, cookware, bakeware, dishes, utensils, drinkware, kitchen linens, dish soap, dishwasher tabs, and cooking essentials are all provided for your convenience.
Step outside to the upper deck and enjoy BBQing your favourite meals while taking in the peaceful waterfront views through the trees.

Kick your feet up and relax in the warm and inviting main living area featuring oversized leather seating, stunning vaulted pine ceilings, and large windows overlooking the treetops and river below. Cozy up by the wood-burning fireplace, stream your favourite shows on the 65" Smart TV with access to Netflix, Disney+, Prime and more, or unplug with our collection of classic DVDs and board games for the ultimate cottage-night experience.
The lower walk-out level also features a separate rec room - the perfect hangout space for kids, teens, or cozy movie nights. Guests are welcome to bring along gaming systems to plug in and enjoy, or simply sink into the oversized sectional couch and choose from our huge collection of DVDs for a relaxing night in after a day on the water.
B E D & B A T H ::
Three cozy and inviting bedrooms await your arrival, each featuring queen-sized beds complete with linens, pillows, and comforters for a comfortable night's sleep. Two bedrooms are located on the main upper level, while the third bedroom is tucked away on the lower walk-out level, offering additional privacy.
The cottage includes one full bathroom with a stand-up shower, plus an additional powder room off the laundry area. Bath towels, hand towels, toilet paper, hand soap, shampoo, and body wash are all provided for your convenience.
O U T D O O R ::
The outdoor spaces at McHarradise are designed for slow mornings, sunny afternoons, and unforgettable evenings by the water. Explore nearby trails and forests, relax among the trees, or spend your days enjoying the river with our two kayaks, canoe, and paddle boat available for guest use. (A selection of life jackets is available on-site, though guests are encouraged to bring their own for best fit.)
Down approximately 25 steps to the waterfront, you will find a beautiful dock with Muskoka chairs, a swim ladder, and stunning river views. Newly added is a large waterfront deck that creates an additional outdoor living space right at the water's edge - perfect for morning coffee, afternoon lounging and sun breaks, sunset cocktails, or gathering with family and friends by the river.
The campfire area is ready for cozy nights under the stars. Firewood is available just 1.2 km away on Porky's Rd. (Please observe any local fire bans during your stay.)
You will also find lawn games including Cornhole and Ladder Golf in the shed for some friendly competition and outdoor fun.

McHarradise is equally magical in the winter months, with endless opportunities to embrace cottage-country winters. Enjoy nearby snowmobile trails, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, dog sledding, and skiing or snowboarding at Sir Sam's Ski / Ride just 30 minutes away.

The cottage is located on a private road. During winter months, the road and driveway are plowed regularly; however, guests may need to shovel a path to the entrance and clear the deck for use after heavier snowfall.
McHarradise has also recently been upgraded with high-speed Starlink internet — providing fast, reliable connectivity for seamless streaming, video calls, and the flexibility to comfortably work remotely from the cottage without the typical cottage-country internet frustrations.
For the safety and security of both guests and property, there is a Ring doorbell camera located at the front entrance overlooking the driveway.

The cottage operates on a septic system, and we kindly ask guests to flush only the provided toilet paper and avoid disposing of sanitary products, food or grease down the sinks/toilets to help protect the system during your stay.

| We had such a wonderful stay here!! The view and privacying is amazing. We loved being right on the water. The steps down to the dock are quite steep, but I read the reviews so I was well aware of that coming here, we managed just fine. I would say a railing might be nice just for stability. The cottage was very clean and the owners are quick to respond. I wish it was a little more clear we were to provide our own water jugs just so that we had drinking water when we arrived, but all in all this was a fantastic, relaxing and well located place to stay. I love that it was off the main road. Thank you for a wonderful vacation, we hope to come back!

| We had a wonderful week! The cottage had everything you would want and need with a very nice layout and lots of room for our family of 6. It was a very private and quiet location. We enjoyed a lot of our time on the water as it was a very hot week. We managed to catch some fish too!
Ashleigh and Sam were very accommodating and communication was easy and quick. We would highly recommend this cottage!

| We had a truly relaxing stay at this charming cottage! The setting was peaceful and scenic, tucked away among the trees with a beautiful view of the lake. Mornings on the deck with a cup of coffee were absolute bliss, and loved swimming daily .
The cottage itself was clean, cozy, and well-equipped — everything we needed was there, from kitchen basics to comfy bedding. There are also many games and an insane amount of movies to choose from.
The hosts were friendly and responsive. We'd definitely come back!

The pictures don't do justice of how beautiful, bright and quiet the place is.
It is also very well equipped with anything you need to cook, have fun and entertain on sunny and rainy days

| This was one of our best experiences with a cottage rental. The place was even better than the pictures (I usually find that pictures don't reflect reality). It was very well equipped, beds were comfortable, had everything I needed. The owners were very easy to communicate with and always answered my questions. We swam multiple times everyday - the water was lovely for swimming and we used the lilypad for relaxing in the water. Not a lot of distance to travel in the kayak but it was nice to explore the river around the cottage. We had a fire in the fire pit at night, enjoyed corn hole and ladder ball. I will certainly consider renting again or recommending to friends. Minden and Haliburton are both a short drive for stores and activities. The only caveat - there are many steps down to the dock (no railing, some wood steps, some cut from the landscape). It would not be good for elderly parents or mobility challenged people. We did just fine, and so did our kids.
