Pine Lodge is on Big Danford Lake, with a sandy beach facing the magnificent sunsets. The gentle slope of the beach and shallow water is ideal for young children and family swimming! It's only one hour from downtown Ottawa. There are 4 bedrooms, 3 on the first floor and 1 in the walk-out basement; plus a pull-out sofa bed in the downstairs family room. The spacious deck faces the sunset and has an eating area and large sitting area. The waterfront includes 1 canoe, 4 adult kayaks, 2 children's kayaks, row boat for fishing and a large dock for watching the family swim and play and capturing the amazing sunsets. The dock is in the sun all day, but there is plenty of shade on the beach under the white pines. Danford Lake is a spring-fed, clean and clear lake with no public access. The swimming is excellent! An enclosed firepit, Adirondack chairs and picnic table are also included on the beach. We welcome families and quiet groups who will love the tranquility of wonderful Danford Lake. The inside of the cottage is beautifully decorated with pine and rustic accents. WIFI and central air conditioning are included. On the main floor there is a relaxing living room with a Smart TV with Bell TV service (including sports channels), Bluetooth sound bar and an electric fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, eating area, sunroom, 3 bedrooms and full bathroom. In the walkout basement there is a family room with a smart TV, DVD player and sofa bed, private bedroom, 2 piece bathroom, laundry facilities, games room with air hockey and shuffle board table and a kid's craft room with foosball.
Pine Lodge is infant/kid friendly. There is a secure baby gate at the top of the stairs, full-size folding crib, high chair, craft room, games, puzzles, kids DVDs, and best of all, a sandy, shallow beach.
Many outdoor activities are minutes away. There is golfing, mountain biking, tennis, pickleball and hiking at Mont Ste Marie, only 20 minutes away. Algonquin Golf Course is 40 minutes away. The Veloroute des Draveurs is 4 kms away; it is part of the Trans Canada trail and is ideal for gravel biking and 30 kms are paved making it perfect for hybrid and road bikes. It truly is an outdoor paradise!
The winter is a wonderland with downhill and cross country skiing at Mont Ste Marie and snowmobiling on the Trans Canada Trail. Pine Lodge has tobogganing, snowshoeing, cross country skiing and skating on the lake too!
Please note that:
- 1 week rentals are required during the Peak Summer Season with check-ins and outs on Fridays
- the cottage is rented to families and small groups of mature adults only
- a maximum of 10 persons may be considered; additional fee of $50 per person per night over 8

| This place is a wonderful kid-friendly place to stay for a week! The beach is shallow and sandy, perfect for little ones to safely explore. It also has sun and shade all day. The cottage is comfortable and has everything you need. Everyone from grandkid to grandparent had an amazing stay!

| This is our second summer renting Pine Lodge.
Spacious, modern, air conditioned, and well equipped inside and out.
View from living room/balcony is terrific.
Beach accessible for small children with soft sand and shallow for perhaps 10 metres then deeper for adults to swim. Excellent swimming conditions, no weeds, not rocky. Quiet Lake. There is a dock to sit on as well as the beachfront.
Both shady and sunny spots to spend time at the lake.
Large grocery store nearby (20 km).
Owners are very friendly and helpful.

| We had a fun and relaxing week with family including our grandsons (ages 1 and 3) at this comfortable and well-equipped cottage. We have rented many cottages over the years and the whole family rated this cottage 10 out of 10! The kitchen layout and high-quality equipment provided made preparing meals fun. Everyone slept well in comfortable beds with quality linens. There is organized storage space for all the outdoor equipment such as life jackets, noodles etc. The children loved the beach and shallow clear water and had a blast with the supplied beach toys, trucks, pails etc. So many activities in this area, we love the des Draveurs bike trail! | Pine Lodge was a perfect spot for our family vacation. Four very comfortable bedrooms made accommodating 7 adults, 2 kids and 1 baby a breeze. Lots of space inside and out. Every amenity you could want. Great quality beds and bedding. So much fun equipment for outdoor play. A great waterfront. There wasn't a single thing missing. Thank you Fred and Marilyn for providing us such a wonderful place to share time together and have a lot of fun!

| We stayed at Pine Lodge with our extended family. We had a great week! The cottage is well set up - stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and pillows, 2 bathrooms, great deck with view of the water, and the perfect waterfront for swimming and playing in the water. Lots of outdoor chairs, water noodles, and boats to use.
Thoroughly enjoyed the week!
