Relax and enjoy the serenity of nature at the Irish Lake Getaway in the wonderful Grey Highlands! This lovely, four season chalet is located on a large, private, treed lot overlooking tranquil Irish Lake. Newly renovated and beautifully styled, it features rustic, vaulted pine ceilings, a spacious deck overlooking the lake, and comes complete with premium amenities throughout for your comfort and enjoyment. The spacious Great Room offers new, very comfortable sofas, a 65" TV with high speed internet, and a walk out to the large deck with a beautiful lake view and a cozy fireplace! The bright and charming gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with all the dishes, utensils and appliances you'll need to prepare your favourite meals and enjoy in the bright dining room. Live edge wood countertops are a great feature of the gorgeous kitchen, and the extra coffee bar offers an additional sink and Keurig coffee machine. The main floor has one bedroom with a queen bed, a second bedroom with 2 twin beds and a full adjacent bathroom. The luxurious king bed is located upstairs in the loft, with a 3-piece ensuite bath and large closet. Brand new mattresses and bedding are provided for a restful sleep. Extra pillows and blankets are available as well. Summer fun includes kayaking, swimming, fishing, pedal boating and paddleboarding at the lake. Irish Lake only allows electric motors for boats, so it is very peaceful. For the golf enthusiast, you'll find 25 courses within 30 km! Nearby, you'll discover several waterfalls and rock climbing areas.
There are numerous cycling routes in the area to discover.
Explore the various local hiking trails or join up with the Bruce Trail nearby.
Perhaps a trip to local antique stores, art galleries and museums are to your liking.
On those rainy days, books, games and puzzles are provided.
Winter is the time to get your skis tuned and head to Beaver Valley, Devil's Glen or Blue Mountain ski areas, all a short drive away.
Also, the Glenelg Nordic Ski Trails are just down the road, if you prefer cross country.
How about snowshoeing or tobogganing in the backyard or ice fishing on the lake?
All are available in this winter wonderland!
Don't forget to plan a visit to see the fall colours or come for a rejuvenating springtime retreat.

This is the ideal setting for couples retreats and family vacations, located less than 2 hours from the GTA and southwest Ontario. The drive is both easy and enjoyable!

| Our second stay at this beautiful cottage, and once again, it did not disappoint!
The cottage is spacious, spotless, beautifully appointed and incredibly well equipped. Jadranka has truly thought of everything, from the fully stocked kitchen and all the extras to the life jackets and water toys. All you really need to bring is your food and personal items, and you're set.
The lake is quiet and peaceful, and being right across from the cottage made it so easy to spend our days on the water. The kids had a blast fishing and made full use of the stand-up paddleboards, canoe and kayak. So many great memories!
Markdale is also just a quick drive away for restaurants, pizza or anything you may have forgotten. We also made a trip to the nearby alpaca farm, which was a fun addition to our week.
A wonderful, relaxing place to stay, and clearly a place that is cared for with a lot of thought. We loved our second visit and would happily come back again!

| From the start, Jadranka was amazing and so easy to talk to. Any questions I had before and during our stay were answered very quickly. Our family has been coming to Irish Lake for many years and over the years we have outgrown staying in one cottage. I was so happy we were able to co-ordinate and rent The Getaway. What a beautiful cottage. Exactly as described and so much more. So clean, comfortable and spacious. We had 6 adults and 2 young children and never felt we were cramped. We utilized the 3 bedrooms and the pull-out couch in the sunroom - which was very comfortable and appreciated that all the linens were included. Also included were all towels including beach towels and life jackets. The kitchen was very well equipped and we all loved the convenience of the coffee bar and the gas bbq and picnic table just outside the back door. The outside amenities were many. From toys for the kids to the beautiful front deck and comfortable muskoka chairs and amazing views. Sunrise in the morning and a lovely shaded spot by afternoon for cocktail hour. My daughter and son-in-law used the paddle boards as well. A perfect lake with no motorized vehicles. We would not hesitate to return again.

| We really enjoyed our stay at Jadranka's cottage. It had everything you need in a cottage, from paddle boards to board games, to cozy throws and the cutest coffee bar.
The property is large with a meadow and a fireplace. The lake is calm, perfect for paddling and kayaking. It rained for some of our stay, but it was a welcome getaway from the city, as the cottage itself was perfectly designed to stay in and enjoy the serenity. The host was easy to get a hold of and answered our questions promptly.
