Butternut Cottage is a lovely 4 bedroom family getaway steps away from the sandy shores of Lake Huron, in Oakwood Park, a private cottage neighbourhood adjacent to Grand Bend. Built in 1924, with only a handful of owners, it has been renovated and restored into a cozy haven over the past two years. Situated in a quiet, peaceful setting, the cottage is best suited for couples, families, and small groups of mature visitors (think book clubs, crafting, wine drinking in cute boho/ granny chic decor).

-Situated in quiet, peaceful, family-friendly Oakwood Park with a private beach (no crowds, even at the peak of summer).
-Reliable Wi-Fi if someone needs to work remotely. One hour to London/Sarnia/Stratford for commuting to work.
-Well suited to a family with multiple kids or two small families. Also works great for a couple or family just using the main floor.
-Ideal for girls' weekends, low-key bachelorette getaways + anyone who appreciates boho granny chic, cottagecore vibes.
-Note: this is not a party cottage and not a late night neighbourhood. It's very quiet in the evenings.

NOTES UPDATE OCTOBER 2023 Bookings closed while we upgrade our septic system. BOOKINGS FOR SPRING/SUMMER 2024 will be open in the new year. We are hoping to rent the cottage for the month of July to one family for the full month while we go overseas. Please inquire if this interests you!
