| We had a wonderful stay at this cottage! It was clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. The kitchen was fully stocked, the beds were comfortable, and all the amenities made us feel right at home.
The highlight was definitely the beautiful sandy beach. It was perfect for swimming, relaxing, and enjoying the sunsets. The property was peaceful, well maintained, and offered plenty of space to unwind.
The hosts were friendly, responsive, and made sure everything was ready for our arrival. We couldn't have asked for a better getaway and would happily return. Highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation with all the comforts of home!

| We had a great week at Dans cottage and wished we had booked longer! The kayaks got a lot of use, as did the pool table. Beds are comfy, the kitchen is well equipped and the area provided a lot of new discoveries when exploring. Would highly recommend and will return!

| We were two families (9 in total + 2 small dogs) that stayed for a week in August. Overall the cottage was great - clean, well-equipped, comfortable beds, lots of space, and lots of welcome extras like shampoo, creme rinse, all soaps, kitchen spices, foil, saran, coffees & teas, keurig, and the most fantastic counter-top ice machine! Things started with a bang when the power went off just after we arrived and unloaded. It was off for 22 hours so well into Sunday. I guess this is normal for Quebec Hydro We scrambled to find some flashlights (no luck) and eventually some candles. No dinner for us on our first night! However day two and every day after was hot and sunny and no more power outages. The beach is amazing, endless sand and beautiful swimming for adults and kids. Gradual entry and hard, sandy bottom. Just perfect. Lots of parking and very close to Chapeau and even Pembroke. Two cautions: road is very close and we had to closely watch dogs.There are several stairs to get into cottage and a fair walk to get to the water but only a problem if you have mobility issues like myself. Otherwise a gem of a property and we hope to return next year. We have had many cottages on Ottawa River and this was hands-down the best

| Best cottage rental on the Ottawa River! We've rented at several different locations on the river, and this has been our favourite by far. The cottage was spacious and well appointed with everything you could ever need. The beds were comfortable, and there was lots of linens and towels. The deck was huge with a beautiful view overlooking the river. The kids had such a great time playing on the huge lily pad and fishing from the kayaks. The water slopes gradually deeper, which was perfect for our kids. And the bottom was a nice firm sand with no clams or weeds. There were so many extras at this cottage almost too many to list. We had a group of kids who camped out in the basement and played pool and foosball every night, like how many cottages can offer that The kitchen had everything you could possibly want, including an icemaker, a coffee pot, a Keurig machine and full size appliances. Lots of pots and pans and sheet trays for cooking. I know that's not very exciting but when you're cooking for 10 people, it's nice to know you have more than one pot. I could go on and on, we will be renting here again next year! Thanks Dan!

| This is the family's second year of staying at Dan's cottage. We are a group of 10, and again, it was perfect for us all. We were really lucky to have great weather, and spent most of the time in the sand and water. It is perfect for my young kids as they can walk far into the water, but also enough to do for my teen niece and nephew, who had fun with the water toys. I was even able to work from the cottage for part of the week as well. We also took advantage of the area, visiting Fort Coulonge, and the Blueberry park, both of which were great for the kids. We even started cottage shopping in the area, as we enjoy the river and area so much. Dan, as always, was very attentive, making sure we had everything we needed and was quick to respond to my emails. The previous renters had advised him of a few items that were needed and he quickly had a delivery ready for us upon arrival. The kids are already asking when they can go back! Do not hesitate to book this cottage!
