Devil's Elbow Lodge - a rustic and affordable lakefront family retreat

Devil's Elbow Lodge is a rustic waterfront escape hidden in the Highlands of Hastings near Bancroft, Ontario, and surrounded by pristine wilderness. We invite you to unplug and unwind at our unique off-grid resort consisting of nine cottages and cabins, situated on a private lake with a sand beach for safe swimming, and great fishing. We are pet friendly, and our dog policy is posted on our website.

Each of our two-bedroom cabins is fully equipped for housekeeping, and includes propane lights, and full size refrigerators and stoves. Each cottage comfortably accommodates a family of six, and consists of two bedrooms and a combined kitchen and living area. All linens and bedding are provided, with the exception of top sheets.

Our centrally located bathrooms provide flush toilets and hot and cold showers. Two of our cabins have an attached private bathroom with a flush toilet and sink. Each cabin is equipped with two large water containers, and two water pails. Hot and cold running water is available at the central washroom area. Our drinking water is tested, treated and safe for consumption.

For your convenience an aluminum rowboat on our home lake is included in the price of each cottage.

While electricity is unavailable, limited cell phone service is accessible at the lodge tower, allowing you to stay connected if you wish to.

We offer many amenities and activities for your family's vacation, all of which are included with the price of your cabin: a central clubhouse, a guest cookhouse with BBQs, a council ring and fire pit, a tennis and pickleball court, a basketball court, kids' playground, outdoor checkers, adult and kids' kayaks, a paddle boat, and a paddle board, as well as walking and hiking trails.
