| Our week at Sunset Lakeview Cottage was completely blissful. The cottage was comfortable, superbly equipped with everything we needed (and more!), exactly as promised on the website, and the owner was quickly able to answer all our questions. Mornings started with listening to loons calling while enjoying coffee on the dock. We filled our days exploring three lakes by canoe, and for almost all of those days we had those lakes completely to ourselves. We enjoyed seeing wildlife while canoeing, including otter, mink, loons, mergansers, and had good fun fishing. Each morning a beaver swam by the cottage like clockwork. Our evenings often included watching the sunset from the dock, as we heard a distant barred owl calling. We loved how the night sky was filled with so many more stars than we can see in a city sky, and we slept so well with just the peaceful sounds of nature. The fall colours were just starting and we were treated to the sight of outstanding crimson maples standing out from the green forest. The cottage was a wonderfully comfortable place to return to after all the outdoor fun, cosy during cool weather, breezily cool during the warm weather. We never tired of the view across to Crown Land from the cottage, the ample deck, and the dock. We were sad to leave at the end of our stay, and would return happily!
