We welcome guests to our much treasured Lake house on beautiful Healey Lake. We have been cottaging here for nearly 70 years and in 2014 we built this 2-wing lakeside home for our family to enjoy for decades to come.
The cottage is situated on over 165' of private South-facing shoreline. All day sun!!
Two expansive 30' docks and many multi-tiered water-side seating areas make for a relaxing, ultimate lake experience. A fire-pit is located down by the water as well as a soothing waterfall feature. I can assure you, the shoreline will be your favourite area to spend time.
There is ample room for a large motor boat if you wish to bring your own, or rent at one of the 2 local marinas.
Water access is shallow with a gradual slope down. The end of the dock is approximately 6ft deep, with a ladder for entry. You will enjoy clear, weed free water whether swimming, kayaking, or boating.
Observe and listen to the haunting call of the loons serenading each other. They are frequent visitors in front of our docks and if you stay quiet and still they will hang around to entertain you.
Fishing is also prominent on Healey, including catching Bass right off the dock!
The cottage itself lends privacy to all guests with separate sleeping quarters in 3 different areas. Every bedroom is lakeside insuring water views for all. The main level has 3 bedrooms. The Primary is on the West side, complete with a 3-piece ensuite and walk-out to a private upper deck. Satellite TV is included in this room.
The East end of the cottage has 2 bedrooms, a full bathroom, and a laundry room. Both bedrooms have a walk-out to the upper deck. One bedroom has a queen bed; the other a double/twin bunk bed.
The lower level is where you will find the 4th sleeping area. Constructed as a private suite, there is a double bed, a futon, and a 2-piece bathroom. In addition, there is a living room area with a satellite tv, fireplace, and a treadmill. Two sets of double doors walk-out to the lower deck and sauna area.
The first visual you experience upon entering the cottage, is the lake in all its glory! Wall to wall windows highlighting magnificent water views from 3 sides! The kitchen and dining area overlook the Great room, which has a stunning floor to ceiling stone gas fireplace centering this space. A 75in Smart TV with Satellite is above the fireplace.
Our family loves to lounge at the full length breakfast bar or you can settle in to eat at the custom made live-edge 8 seat dining table. Better yet, enjoy our outdoor gazebo dining area complete with mosquito netting. When entertaining guests, we enjoy this area for most meals and late into-the-night discussions.
A Weber BBQ is just outside the upper deck door, and we also have a portable pizza oven positioned out back. There's nothing like those thin crust stone baked pizzas!!
We have recently built a Cedar outdoor shower which looks out onto the lake. This is an experience of its own. Once you shower outdoors, you'll never go back! Trust me.
We include linens, bath towels, cleaning supplies, laundry soap, oils and spices, water jugs for cooler, propane for BBQ and Pizza Oven
