Whether you're soaking up the sun, paddling along the river, or exploring by boat, everything you need for the perfect vacation is right at your fingertips. The beach is equipped with umbrellas, a kayak, a canoe, a pedal boat, and plenty of sand toys for the little ones.
For outdoor enthusiasts, there's plenty of space to enjoy lawn games, ensuring fun for all ages. Take in the natural beauty of the Ottawa River with morning or evening walks along the expansive sandy shoreline. When it's time to unwind, relax with your favorite book, soaking in the peaceful surroundings.
The bedrooms are on the second floor. There are two bathrooms with the larger of the two located on the main floor. The living area features a smart TV, perfect for cozy movie nights. The fully stocked kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals, and the dining table comfortably seats six, with extra chairs provided. A collection of cottage games ensure everyone stays entertained on rainy days.
The Homestead is just 2 minutes from a free public boat launch, providing easy access to the river for boating. Spend hours on the water, go fishing, or head to the nearby historic beachside bar, "Hôtel Pontiac" for a refreshing beverage and live entertainement. Outdoor enthusiasts will also enjoy the short distance to the Rocher-à-l'Oiseau 5K trail, which offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding Laurentian landscape.
Winter is a slower season on the Island, but guests can enjoy cross-country skiing, ice fishing, snowmobiling, and other activities locally.
