Introducing Spruce Cliff Beach Cottage at Cape Tormentine, New Brunswick! Our secluded and tranquil ocean-front getaway is the perfect spot for relaxing with friends and family, or for discovering the natural beauty of New Brunswick. Spruce Cliff Beach Cottage offers an open plan main floor with a gourmet kitchen, dining room, and living room. The chef will appreciate the fully equipped kitchen, and dinners for up to eight people can be enjoyed around the harvest table. At nighttime, get cozy on the oversized sofa for movies by the wood burning fireplace. The four bedrooms are also on the main floor, but separated from the living area by a French door. Guests have access to two bathrooms. One is on the main floor and features a large soaker tub with a sitting shower. The second bathroom has a standalone shower and plenty of storage. In the morning, enjoy your coffee on the screened back porch, overlooking the expansive lawn and ocean. This porch is also the perfect spot for meals, playing cards, reading or relaxing at night. Use the mud room porch for towelling off after playing in the ocean and to store beach toys. In the basement you will find a washer, dryer, and utility sink, and there's also an outdoor clothesline if you'd like to dry your clothing (and bathing suits) in the fresh ocean air. Other amenities to enjoy include outdoor furniture, a fire pit, croquet set, sand toys, and pool noodles for playing in the ocean.
The Northumberland Strait boasts the warmest ocean water temperatures in Canada, and some of the warmest ocean water temperatures on the Atlantic coast north of Virginia, but it's important to know that we also experience two tides per day, approximately six hours apart. This means you can play on the beach or go for walks on the ocean floor when the tide is out. The beach by our cottage is a secluded and tranquil spot where you will rarely find other people. Of course, the ocean is always accessible for swimming in deep water or for using your own watercraft. If low tide does not coincide with your schedule on a particular day, you can access the public beach that is approximately one kilometre from the cottage. It's a hidden gem that's rarely crowded.
Please note that we are happy to provide the following amenities to our guests:

* Bedding, including pillows and blankets
* Cleaning products (for basic tidying if desired)
* Dish washer detergent

* Our cottage can accommodate up to 8 people maximum (with or without children).
* If booking with children, please note the bedroom configurations.
* Please include the names of all guests at time of booking.
* No parties or excessive noise is allowed at any time.
* No smoking of any kind is allowed inside the property. If you choose to smoke outside, please dispose of your items responsibly to avoid the risk of fire.
* Absolutely no fireworks are permitted at any time. It is a wildfire hazard with so many tall grasses and trees in close proximity to the cottage, plus the noise is very unsettling to the wildlife that live around us.
* Please do not dispose of cooking oil or grease in the sinks or toilets as it will clog and damage the septic system.
* Please do not dispose of feminine hygiene products or disposable wipes in the toilets - even if they are labelled as flushable - as they too will clog and damage the septic system.
* We are unable to provide watercraft, but you are more than welcome to bring your own. There is easy all-day water access for your kayak, canoe, or SUP at Cape Tormentine Beach (approximately 1 kilometre from the cottage).
* Please note that lifejackets are NOT provided.
*. The cottage is situated on top of a cliff and does not have a surround fence. There is also a steep staircase down to the beach.
*. Watercraft and life jackets are not provided to guests.
* We will be acquiring a BBQ and new outdoor furniture in the spring of 2025 and will update our listing with photos at that time.
